His father is a physician (Dr Domenico Sarandria, Chief of Cardiovascular Physiopathogy, previous Chief of Cardiology and previous President SICOA for Veneto region). His mother (Dr Cardone Marcella) previous president of KeyTech Foundation, current director of the Sarandria Cardiovascular Private Practice, President of a private healthcare company and writer of the children’s story book “The Adventures of Mr Thompson”.

His maternal grandmother was a professor, theologist and writer on Fray Louis de Leon (Prof Bertalia Olimpia). His "uncle" (who was actually the brother of his maternal grandfather but has always been like an uncle to him) was an Italian poet (Giuseppe Carmelo Cardone). From his maternal side he descends from the noble family of Cardone (marquise in Italy).

He travelled a great deal since young age. His travels brought him to different countries. He travelled across Europe (From eastern to western and northern European countries), Russia, United States of America (where he lived), Asia and North Africa. He attended school at the catholic school run by the nuns of the Order of the Sacred Heart. He then attended middle school and high school in two different English International schools where he graduated with the International Baccalaureate.

After that, he did several experiences including travelling, studying and working experiences, including living in Austin (Texas) in the USA to study Bioinformatics at St Edward’s University (by winning a scholarship).

In 2014, he performed the IMAT admission test (developed and executed by Cambridge - United Kingdom) becoming the highest scoring student of that year to get enrolled at the Medical school of Humanitas University in Milan (the same year he got in the Cattolica University in Rome and San Raffaele university in Milan - medical faculties).

He always loved reading and writing, which “saved” him from a difficult period of his life, together with his faith (he is a Catholic Christian, with a strong love for the study of different cultures and religions).

His favourite books are Eugene Onegin by Alexander Pushkin, and the Count of Montecristo by Alexandre Dumas.

He is a member of the International High IQ Society with a score in the 99.5th percentile, a member of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, a member of the Society for Immutherapy in Cancer, and a Fellow of the International Society for Development and Sustainability.

His love of reading was born when he first picked up a novel. ‘The Count of Monte Cristo’. Never did he identify with such an alien world as when he read the work of Dumas. His love for literature led him to study many nineteenth-century texts. In the same period he became passionate about fantasy, dark fantasy in particular. His love for family, his parents and grandmother is the strength that reinforced his soul and taught him that strength is required for good, morality and character.

He graduated from Medical School with 110 cum Laude (with honours) and got his ERT (Excellence in Research Track) focusing in Immuno-Oncology and medical statistics. He got licensed to practice medicine and surgery and enrolled at the Order of Physicians and Surgeons in Italy. He received a PhD in Management in Switzerland and a post-graduate certificate of achievement in Immuno-oncology, precision oncology and cancer genomics from Harvard Medical School. He received his MBA in healthcare management from North Wales Management School (UK).

He fought for freedom in scientific publication and the need for researchers' rights and fairness in the scientific world in terms of sharing data and results, fighting to bring to light some of his research results of when he was a young researcher and which were hindered by what he considered a "corrupt" system. (His views highlighted in his book "A young medical doctor’s thoughts on life : Fairness in the Scientific World and living a life of truth" link: Amazon). Dr Sarandria's medical degree thesis, showed that higher TANs densities were linked to better disease-free survival (DFS) in rectal cancer patients treated with 5-FU (while it was inversely related in patients without 5-FU therapy). This also adds to the evidence that what is now recognised as colorectal cancer can be divided into two types: colon and rectal cancer. He discovered a new association between tumor associated neutrohils and rectal cancer's clinical course.

Besides being a writer of scientific articles in various important magazines such as ‘Stars and Stripes’ and ‘Coespu’, his love for literature and fantasy led him in 2017 (age 24) to publish his first dark fantasy book (A Prayer for the Necromancer ), the first volume of a trilogy of over 800 pages (“The Shinigami Tomes”) written entirely in English. “A Prayer for the Necromancer” received various awards including a feature in “Kirkus” magazine and became the most downloaded book on Amazon.com during the ‘KDP-Promotion days’ for the Dark Fantasy Book category.
He is the author of several books, including Rusalka, a flash fiction story (a short story that is typically under 1,500~ words, possessing a unique literary quality in its ability to hint at or imply a larger story). The demons of an unattainable love obsession. Prof George Guthridge (Literature Professor, Stoker Award winner and fiction writer, including the short-story “Warship” with George RR Martin) aided in the redaction of this story by giving his invaluable feedback and editing. He is also co-author with his father of the book: 21st Century Bakemono.
